Liberty at Silver Creek recently hosted an educational home buyer’s seminar with over 40 prospective
home owners in attendance. The seminar featured a “one stop” format providing a wealth of resources
and information covering the ins and outs of the home buying process.
Castle & Cooke Mortgage Manager Evelyn Ledbetter was on hand to walk interested buyers through
the complete process, from improving your credit score to the application to down payments and
monthly payment amounts. Many of the participants were amazed at how historically low interest rates
could make new home payments start as low as $530.
With the right information and new home builders offering closing cost assistance, home ownership
has never been so easily achieved. Sheryl Gallion of Ticor Title was also on hand to provide insight
into escrow procedures and the costs associated with the closing of an escrow.
Following the group presentation attendees had the opportunity to take advantage of personalized,
private sessions. Afterward many chose to complete the prequalification process and are now headed
in the right direction to start planning for their future home purchase.
