“The sky is the limit if you have a roof over your head.”— Sol Hurok

Focusing on long-term goals for yourself and your family is easy when you don’t have to worry about the construction quality of your home. That’s why Castle & Cooke takes everything about the construction of your new home seriously, including the roof.

Naturally you don’t expect the roof of your new home to leak, so we use roof-to-wall Z-bar metal flashing to better protect against water intrusion. And to prevent damaging debris from collecting on your roof when it rains, we hold or roof tile back approximately two inches from the center flashing on all valleys per manufacturer recommendation. This allows rainwater to flow freely without debris accumulation.

Uninvited houseguests can be a nuisance. And when those houseguests are rodents or birds in the attic they’re even more troublesome. Castle & Cooke uses “Bird-Stop” details on all our roofs to keep them from getting in to begin with.

To keep the roofs of our homes clean and uncluttered we install O’Haggin flat roof vents in lieu of dormer vents. We also use hip starter tiles for a clean, finished look, instead of the unsightly blobs of cement seen on many other builders’ homes.

These may seem like small details, but for an investment as important as your new home, Castle & Cooke will always put in the extra effort to make sure it’s done right.
