There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills!


Ever wonder what life was like during the California Gold Rush? In Highgate at Seven Oaks recently kids had a chance to find out during the Gold Rush Frontier Life Experience event  at the Highgate Swim & Fitness Clubhouse. They learned what life was like in California during the mid 1800s and how the discovery of gold had a profound effect on the growth of the state. They also had some fun panning for their own gold and then using the nuggets to buy things in the Gold Rush General Store. This is just one example of the fun events that go on year-round in Highgate at Seven Oaks, and not just for kids, there are lots of social events for parents, too.
