Happy Campers Enjoy “Camp Highgate”

Residents of Highgate at Seven Oaks recently had an opportunity to enjoy all the fun of camping without any of the hassle! “Camp Highgate” turned the Parkshire Pavilion and Park into a temporary campsite for a full evening of camping fun. Residents brought their own blankets, chairs, and tents to experience camping in right in their own community with many of their neighbors. Of course, having a cookout is one of the most important parts of camping, and at Camp Highgate guests enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers hot off the grill. There was even a make-your-own trail mix station for extra fuel. And since no meal is complete without dessert, and you can’t say you went camping unless you’ve had S’mores, all the fixin’s were provided so everyone could enjoy roasting S’mores around the large community fire pit. In addition to the great food there was plenty of fun for the whole family with activities like rock painting, archery practice, and fishing.
