Seven Oaks Living – Design Center

Highgate at Seven Oaks is the newest premier gated, master planned, lifestyle-oriented community by Castle & Cooke, the original creator of the legendary Seven Oaks brand. Many of the benefits of buying a home in Highgate at Seven Oaks are obvious, like the beautiful landscaping, parks, fitness centers, and social and recreational amenities. A not-so-obvious benefit is the Highgate Design Center, where home buyers can select from an array of customization options to personalize their new home. Kelly Belter, Design Center Consultant, explains…

What is the Highgate Design Center?

The Highgate Design Center allows buyers to tailor the interior of their Highgate home to their personal style range. Castle & Cooke takes a holistic approach to elevations and floor plans. Everything is right here in Highgate, and I love working with buyers to bring their vision to life with the products we offer.

What decisions will homebuyers make at the Design Center?

When a Highgate homebuyer visits the Design Center they can select a variety of options for their new home, from additional recessed lighting, to cabinetry, flooring, decorative backsplashes, room conversions (on select floor plans), and more.

What is the Design Center experience like for a homebuyer?

Expect to feel excited, and a little overwhelmed…at first! Building a new home can be intimidating at times, but with a bit of guidance from me, by the end of the design appointment buyers can expect to feel happy and confident in their choices. Seeing their vision come together at the completion of construction is even more exciting!

Are there design trends that buyers seem to prefer?

I think white is here to stay, but I am excited to see more colors and patterns being incorporated into homes recently! Bold, navy-blue cabinets, or clean white cabinets with an elegant emerald green backsplash, are just a few of the design center products I see becoming more popular. Low maintenance products continue to be attractive and popular as well; for example quartz surfaces that mimic natural stone but do not require yearly sealing, and luxury vinyl wood-look flooring that is water and scratch resistant.

Are the customization options available at the Design Center affordable?

Absolutely! We have materials to suit any homeowner’s preference, and I love helping our buyers get creative with the choices for their new home. For example, we offer authentic marble and stone products, but also offer more affordable porcelain tiles that imitate the beauty of marble without the price tag. Plus, because our design center is completely in-house and not out-sourced to a third party, upgrade costs are very reasonable.

How creative can buyers get in accessorizing their new home?

Every buyer has their own unique style and vision, and one of the best parts of my job is getting to hear them all! The Design Center offers everything from traditional to trendy, and it’s all conveniently located in one place, which eliminates having to visit multiple showrooms where the choices can become overwhelming.
